Texas Eastern Appalachian Lease (TEAL) Project

The upper U.S. Midwest and eastern Canadian regions require additional pipeline infrastructure to support the growing demand for clean-burning natural gas.

Additional pipeline infrastructure is crucial to offsetting the impact of the decline in traditional western Canadian supplies available to serve these markets. As such, Texas Eastern Transmission, LP (Texas Eastern) is evaluating an expansion of its interstate natural gas pipeline system to increase energy diversity, security and reliability to the Ohio, Michigan, Chicago and Dawn Ontario markets by delivering Marcellus supply to NEXUS Gas Transmission, LLC.

The Texas Eastern Appalachian Lease Project will provide additional access to safe, cost-effective supplies of Appalachian natural gas to serve local distribution companies, natural gas-fired power generators and industrial users such as manufacturers.
