We are successfully navigating the energy value chain by transporting oil through our sophisticated pipeline network.
The 785-mile Express Pipeline and the 932-mile Platte Pipeline connect Canadian and U.S. producers to refiners in the Rocky Mountain and Midwest regions of the United States.
Pipelines provide the most safe, reliable and efficient means of transporting large volumes of crude oil over long distances.
In 2014 alone, transmission pipelines transported nearly 9.3 billion barrels of crude oil and 16.2 billion barrels of petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
Transportation of crude oil through pipeline is done through two different kinds of pipe. Gathering pipelines transport the crude oil from the production well into the mainline or transmission pipeline. The mainline or transmission pipeline then transports the crude oil to the refinery where various petroleum products are extracted.
We also have approximately 4.8 million barrels of crude oil storage.
We’re expanding our impressive portfolio of assets, and we’re continuing to demonstrate our commitment and capacity on all fronts.
